Economic Development Thread
This category is designed to promote discussion on ways of developing and implementing a realistic Economic Revitalization plan for the southern Chester County region.
I've "seeded" this topic with the comment below, hoping to generate some discussion regarding what needs to be done, what changes need to take effect, and what should remain unchanged or untouched with respect to the regional economy. This particular thread has been receiving a substantial number of visits over the past few months --- 520 between the BLOG's inception in February, 2009, and Sepetmber 1, 2009 --- without having a single comment posted by anyone We have offered one possible scenario for implementing regional economic improvements in the "Philosophy" page of our main web site; however, this certainly cannot be the only option available to the residents of this area. We would like to hear your views and suggestions. Please feel free to leave your comments, ask a question, or offer advice.
Please be advised that the same rules of conduct apply to every topic category; these rules may be found in the General Discussion category's "Welcome - Please Read" comments.
Thank you for taking your time to become involed in your community and region, and thank you for your interest in OATS!

With the growing population base placing a substantial burden on municipal services and infrastructure within the region (water, sewage, roadways, school systems, etc.) inevitably leading to an increased tax burden for residents, does anyone have any other ideas or suggestions, different from what we propose (please view the 'Philosophy' page of this website) for improving the economy of southern Chester County, while preserving its rural/agricultural nature?

Hi again. With the development going on around Cecil CO and with APG going to expand soon, traffic will for sure be unbearable. I hate to see what Aberdeen will look like a few years from now. Especially route 40.
